Mocking Sir Martin Sorrell
You can find the mocking Twitter account really easy. @NotSirSorrell is writing about how much money Martin Sorrell has, how he can afford buying everything he desires, even magazines, not following anyone on Twitter because he’s a leader, so he can’t afford to follow. Actually cool jokes, written in a really funny way. And the “auto-irony” can make your day.
I have no idea who’s behind the Twitter account and I sure hope, for his own sake, it’s not one of WPP’s employees. But what I know is that @NotSirSorrell will go viral in a relatively short time. And if it’s actually Martin Sorrell writing the tweets, then that’s going to be great. Still, let’s not make plans for the guy. I’m not that sure the CEO of WPP Group is going to fall in with Twitter that easily.
But I’m damn sure it’s going to be fun to watch. Actually, the initiative is fun because it’s similar to Steve Jobs‘ fake blog. It’s true, the fake blog didn’t convince Jobs to write on a blog, but you never know what Sorrell is going to do.
