What Google forgets about search

Google has lots of cool online services. But what about emproving the search?

Google has lots of cool online services. But what about emproving the search?

First of all, I need relevant data. For a while now, Google stopped offering good results. As a matter of fact, I get lots of spam sites and that’s what I hate the most. For example, I’m looking for news and at least 15 links containing the same article, with the same title. Lots of people hope to earn from AdSense by copying others’ content. Well, Google should punish those.

Search results to sort by date?

Second, I’d really need to know when the information resulted from search was actually published. And I continue with the example above. I’m looking, for example, for “swine flu” and I get about eleven million results. Basically, I browse maximum five pages. Well, in this pages, I’m supposed to get the most relevant articles. Looking above, the probability to get relevant results might not be the highest. So here’s what I need: an option to order results by date. I know this feature is working on news.google.com, but I don’t use the news service. That’s why sorting by date could bring me more relevant data. And it would actually be great if I could search in a defined period of time, like March 20 to April 21.

Of course, Google would definitely need an algorithm emprovement, but hey!, you can’t have everithing, right? So right now I’m really curious when we will have a cooler search engine or whutever.
